Hire Guaranteed Broadcast Internet Connectivity Unit

We are ready to go are you? Most live broadcasts don’t fail because of cameras, sound, or production. They fail because the internet connection cannot sustain a live uplink when it matters. Important broadcast for live TV from a remote location or just live streaming for Youtube or Facebook we are ready to go with a fast reliable uplink anywhere in the UK delivered at a cost that fits production budgets.

Venues overestimate their bandwidth. Home connections collapse under load. Mobile coverage fluctuates without warning. And when the connection drops, the broadcast is already lost.

This service exists for one reason: to make sure the internet connection does not fail when a broadcast depends on it.

What this service is

This is a connectivity service — not a production service.

Live streaming and webcasting use cases

  • Live broadcast interviews from private homes or remote locations
  • Short-notice news contributions requiring same-day deployment
  • Remote guest participation feeding into studios or control rooms
  • Single-location live streams where venue internet cannot be trusted
  • Webcasts for organisations requiring stable connectivity
  • Rural, residential, or high-risk locations
  • One-off or sensitive transmissions where failure is not an option

Connectivity only. Cameras, crews, sound, lighting, and production are supplied by the broadcaster or streaming partner.

We provide guaranteed, broadcast-grade internet connectivity in locations where a reliable connection cannot be assumed, including rural, residential, temporary, or short-notice environments.

We do not supply cameras, camera operators, sound, lighting, presenters, or production crews.

Our role is singular and focused: to ensure that when a production goes live, the connection holds.

How this relates to outside broadcast units

We do not provide a traditional outside broadcast van or a full OB setup.

We operate in the same broadcast space, delivering the one component that every OB depends on: a guaranteed, resilient internet connection.

For many interviews, live hits, and location-based contributions, deploying a full OB unit is unnecessary. What remains essential is the ability to transmit reliably, in real time, without relying on venue or domestic internet.

This service provides that critical connectivity layer — without the cost, lead times, or logistical overhead of a traditional OB deployment.

We don’t provide an OB van. We provide the broadcast connection it relies on.

Nimble by design

We are deliberately small and mobile, which allows us to operate at a lower cost and respond quickly.

When a broadcast opportunity arises, we can deploy the same day — without the lead times, scheduling constraints, or overhead associated with traditional outside broadcast units or large technical teams.

This makes the service particularly suitable for:

  • Short-notice news contributions
  • Remote interviews from private homes
  • Rural or semi-rural locations
  • Farms, villages, and isolated properties
  • Situations where failure would be unacceptable

Who this service is for

  • Live streaming companies who need a reliable uplink they can trust
  • Broadcasters planning remote interviews or location-based contributions
  • Production teams working outside studio environments
  • Organisations requiring guaranteed connectivity for live transmission

Not every live transmission requires a full outside broadcast deployment or complex technical infrastructure. For single-location events and interviews — particularly those taking place outdoors or away from reliable fixed internet — a managed uplink service is often more appropriate, better controlled, and significantly more cost-effective. We work alongside existing production teams, removing the highest-risk variable in the broadcast chain.

How it works (high level)

  1. Location discussion and initial assessment
  2. On-site connectivity testing (where required)
  3. Independent connectivity deployment
  4. Upload-focused configuration
  5. Monitoring during the broadcast window
  6. Support throughout transmission

The emphasis is on predictability, control, and accountability — not improvisation.

Availability

This service is currently being offered on a limited, pilot basis to assess demand from broadcasters, live streaming companies, and production teams.

Early enquiries help determine typical use cases, deployment profiles, and scheduling requirements.

No obligation. No technical sales process. Just a practical discussion about whether this service solves a real problem.

Outside broadcast services are traditionally designed to deliver complete production capability — including cameras, crews, vehicles, and uplink — and are priced accordingly. In many situations, however, a full OB deployment is unnecessary. What remains essential is the ability to transmit reliably, in real time, from the location. The comparison below highlights the difference between full outside broadcast provision, equipment-only uplink hire, and a connectivity-focused service designed specifically to remove internet risk without the cost or complexity of a full OB setup.

Understanding the cost difference

The table below illustrates the typical cost difference between a traditional outside broadcast setup and a connectivity-only service. It is provided for context only and reflects common industry pricing models.

Important: This service does not include cameras, camera operators, sound, lighting, presenters, or production crews. It is designed to work alongside existing broadcast or live streaming teams.

Bandwidth and data usage

Each deployment includes a defined broadcast-grade data allowance, suitable for standard live streaming and webcasting use across an eight-hour production day.

This allowance is designed to support typical broadcast bitrates, line testing, short live contributions, and standby availability throughout the booking.

Where higher bitrates, extended live transmission, or continuous multi-hour uplinks are required, additional bandwidth can be provided and agreed in advance.
